maintaining consistency

Coming back to the workload of school and other duties has given me an increase into organisation as well as keeping up a consistent routine. But at the same time, the question that has stuck in my mind since going back to everything is 'have you actually had the time to take a break and given some time to yourself?'. The answer to this: I've no idea at all.

It's come to the point where we're one month back into the grind and I'm feeling drained in the sense that I am mentally drained due to so much going on and again, the expectations that have to be fulfilled. With that being said, this doesn't mean that I'm personally controlled by certain expectations - just having to ensure that there is maintenance within all of that can be tiring too.

Don't get me wrong, I really am enjoying the whole agenda of having to do something everyday - because as I like to believe that 'life is too short to be sitting around and wasting the time given'. I can't really picture myself actually chilling on a 24/7 basis - so the workload and set things that I have to get done is beneficial in that sense. But it is just as important to maintain that balance to keep that positive consistency.

I've seen something in common: not many people take as much time to themselves. Many individuals (I hope) would agree that taking care of your own self before anything and anyone else is without doubt the most essential thing to keep you going.

I've personally realised that not taking any breaks or any downtime has definitely affected the way how I've been feeling both mentally and physically.

In short: everyone deserves to have that time to recuperate and renew themselves for a longterm benefit and deliver themselves to be the best that they can be.

It's simple. Break it down. Implement:

-take your time ~ work to your personal satisfaction and don't rush things.

-reflect ~ think to process to be content.

-breathe.

-hydration.

-sleep.

-relax ~ manage the time in your day - designate certain time limits to certain parts of your day.

-be grateful ~ gratitude for the things and the people that you already have are reasons to maintain a consistent and healthy version of you - you've got everything to help you to keep going.

Having down days is okay, but don't let that overtake the success that you already have. Maintain the consistency - it's all there for you.
