I've always had a place for poetry.
It's my way of escaping in a quick and creative way.
I have the intention for people to comprehend it the way they want and hope that they can see what I mean through delivering my truth in a creative way.
It Takes Time.
It takes time, your time is all it is.
There simply is no rush.
It has felt like there should be, but there really isn’t.
I’ve felt isolated all this time about the past - thinking that there is a time limit.
There isn’t.
The time is in your hands and your hands only.
Grief.
Bereavement.
Sadness.
Depression.
They are all separate stages.
Broken.
Down.
And eventually,
Breaking.
You.
At the end of the (what feels like) lingering process,
You do heal.
But you never go back to how it was.
How you were.
How life was.
It’s a new start.
For you.
For significant others too.
You are scarred.
For life.
The wound is stuck on you.
On your skin.
Tarnished that part of your happiness.
The person you’ve lost is also stuck with you.
On your skin.
In spirit.
Forever.
Never ever forget that.
Continue with life.
With the presence of the one you love not being there,
In physical form.
It does get better,
As time goes by.
Knowing that they are safe.
They are happy.
They are healthy.
They are living life.
In a different universe to you.
The dimension is different.
But it works out in the end.
You are going through this for a good reason.
The reason: you are more than capable of facing this war.
The war with:
Grief.
Bereavement.
Depression.
Sadness.
You will come out stronger - being able to face the rest of the world for what it may throw at you.
It takes time.

An opportunity.
This isn't just a journey.
It's not just an experience.

It's an opportunity.

For me.
To show.
The world.
That.
I am.
Small but mighty.
Small and strong.
But most of all,
capable.

Because this opportunity
of mine
was a challenge
to get through.
It's helped me to paint
and create
my story.

It's a part of what
goes on in my head.

It's a justification
as to why I feel the things the way
I do.

The Nervous Wait (sampler)

To society,
This is only,
The tip of,
The iceberg.

To us,
It is seen as a
big
game
changer.
That's what it feels like.
It feels like the
whole world is depending
on us,
to take the
next step.
To make the
change we are
destined to make.

We've been told
and
been set the expectation:

To work.
To go to school.
To make a life.
To build our legacies.

But its all so
O V E R W H E L M I N G.

Once something goes wrong,
it will feel like
everything will be
O V E R.
