"always remember just how rare you are - there is no-one quite like you." -April Green

The New Year motive: self love and self care 2020.

Hardships. That one word, that one experience.

Everyone at some point in their lives has been through at least one or two challenging things throughout their lifetime. That might have been early for some, or it might yet to occur at some point later. Either way, we are still brought to the result of having gone through something beneficial because it's all part of character development and building yourself to be the best version of you everyday.

But from all of this, how much do we as individuals actually see how strong and successful we've become all because of one story that is to be or rarely ever unfolded?

It is the genuine case of believing in yourself and realising how much good you've portrayed to so many around you - even if you may feel like it goes unnoticed. Believe me, there is always someone that is aware of what you're doing and it might even be motivational for them too.

Having a recent heart to heart with some of my close people gave me an emphasis and realisation into how much you should be valuing your self worth and knowing it especially.

In the current type of world that we live in, I feel like we tend to consistently work and grind without actually knowing how much impact we are establishing as a result of it all.

I've definitely highlighted this as something that I personally need to start appreciating more about myself. I'm apparently known to be someone who puts in the hard work whilst going through so much all at the same time - according to some, this is greatly looked upon as something inspirational alongside the aspect of being proud. How much of this is actually true I will never know ; all I can say is the love is very much endless with the amazing people that I have around me.

They truly are one of the main reasons why I do my best in striving and being the determined person that I like to portray myself as.

With that being said, we definitely need to realise how much we're actually worth in the life that we live in as individuals. It is agreed, that you have people that support and care about you to remind you how much your value is, but really it's down to you to feel it, be aware of it and actually appreciate it the most - after all there is only ever one version of you and you ought to look after yourself with the time you have.

  • Keep looking into the good out of the hardships that you've faced: your inner journey is a part of the person that you are and also portraying yourself to be.

  • Maintain the energy that you have now: it is valued by many, even if you don't know it.

  • Take it easy on yourself: every individual goes through a lot - even if it doesn't feel that way - you're doing the best you can, that is more than enough.

  • Self love and care. Simple as.
